I first became aware of the work of Marylyn Dintenfass when a mutual artist friend handed me a catalogue from her recent New York show. We invited Marylyn to present a solo exhibition at Hamline University Gallery and she accepted. One question that is always on my mind is how well the artist can deal with our space? Our gallery has some strong classical architectural elements that some artists tend to ignore, not always with postive results. Not Marylyn. She faced the challenge head on and the results were powerful and beautiful.
